The year begins.......

well folks the year has begun as last year finished. Still in Florida (but have moved from Fort Lauderdale to Naples!) and still doing pretty much the same, that being getting up in the morning and figuring out what time to eat and swim for the day!

Wont bore ye with Christmas/ New Years celebration details except to say that it was pretty different to what we get upto in Fungarvan!!

Actually did some touristy things yesterday, went to see the world famous Everglades National Park. Cool to see it and did a boat tour and also went to a talk by a Park Ranger on the history of the park and how its changing - believe it or not was quiet interesting. But the highlight of the day was stopping of on the way back to Naples at a tourist "board walk" area, there we say loads of alligators (from a foot long to about 8 feet). Bit of a concern when we saw that there was only a standard wire fence keeping them "on their side" but then realized they are lazy whores so there was no need to worry!

Today then we played a round of golf. Some geezer we met in the pub while ringing in the new year invited us out for a round. Real sound guys (father and son) and they really treated us (clubs, Golf buggy, food etc). Looking forward to repaying the favour if they get to Ireland later in the year!

thats about it, gotta get some food into me, will tell all about future plans the next time............
