time to be returning to my fav Peru

11 DAYS TO TOUCHDOWN IRELAND

Well the batteries are recharged after our 3 nights here in Arica and its time to start travelling again.

As our time down South is almost up, its time to be heading back to Lima. Oh yes I mentioned time to start travelling again, but forgot to mention it will be serious travelling. I'm talking 15min taxi, then 1.5hr minibus across the border to Tacna and finally 18.5 (yes eighteen and a half hours) north to Lima - Moya is soooo excited about her longest bus journey ever!

Arica was exactly what the Doctor ordered (and no mum dont worry I aint sick!). Nice slow pace of life, stroll to the beach etc, nobody bothering you and able to cook every meal while here.

Speaking of cooking, its handy this place had a kitchen as Chile is a bit of a shock to the system as regards dosh! Other things in Chile:

* prices are miles higher than Peru and Bolivia(approx 4 times Bolivia and twice Peru)

* have normal cars on the roads here, not just taxis and collectivos

* taxis dont beep every time they see someone walking

* have supermarkets here, yes refrigerarted meat etc

* even have a damn Maccy Ds here

* clothes are a lot different, no Indiginous People seen at all

* still have Inca Cola, yipeeeeeeee

Thats about it till we get to Lima, hope the Paddys Day celebrations went well (coz ours never started this year, as predicted!).

All we have to do in Lima is last minute shopping, confirm our flight and see if my Passport arrrived yet! Minor details that well help me getting home and back to work! Again ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
